What is Karma?

The word karma comes from Sanskrit (classic language of Indians scholars) and means «action». However, «in Buddhism it is referred as law of causality”. According to this explanation, life becomes, then, a ‘boomerang’ where if you try to harm someone, you will end up harming yourself. However, any bad karma or negative karma that we have done once can be turned into a positive one.

Law of causality

This law states the following: «It’s necessary there’s a cause or a circumstance so that a phenomenon is generated, since there isn’t any act that cannot support by itself. All phenomena (mental or physical ones) depend on each other; that is to say, they exist independently». In this sense, our physical, verbal and mental actions are causes, and our experiences, unique for each individual, are their effects.

Negative Karma

Is the result of bad actions or thoughts such as greed, deception, el egocentricity or destructive criticism, which hurt those who have them.

Negative Karma that comes from past lives

We are not aware of the negative karma generated in our previous births. In our subsequent births, we can or not ready to settle our destiny and the paradox is that, at the same time, we are creating new negative karma.

 Therefore, this spiral of karma and destiny tie us and we remain tangled in it. The only way we can cancel negative karma in our destiny is through regular and sharp spiritual practice.

How can we break negative karma cycle?

Breaking karma cycle is something necessary when we want get rid of everything that hurt us in previous times. If you do not do it, you will attract the same kind of people that hurt you, as well as the same diseases; you will have the same job and carry with things from the past that aren’t necessary in this life.

Recommendations to eliminate the negative karma of previous lives

The first step to eliminate negative karma from your life is discovering the origin of the problem.

You must get rid of people who are toxic or invade your energy field with negative karma.

By accepting your mistakes and taking responsibility for them, you’ll see that energy changes completely.

Learn to accept karma and work to heal it; in this way you will evolve towards a more enlightened state and free of worries.

Challenge your weaknesses by strengthening your character in the areas that bring you more problems.

Stop feeling as a victim and take control of your life so that, once and for all, you can recover.

Forgive, because there’s nothing more releasing than forgiveness. Resentment only feeds bad feelings, strengthening karma in your life.

When we think at the moment when feel that we are starting to feel upset and are about to respond to a fight, the best is letting it pass with patience, compassion and empathy.

In any place; we will remember that no-action before something unfair is also a violent action.

• Visualize your problems, and make a list with them. Surround them with light and meditate every day at least for 3 weeks. Take deep breaths and do not try to resist your feelings (they’re yours); try to understand and transmute them.

• Make a new list after this time has elapsed, and discover which ones arose and which ones were resolved.

• 6 weeks after, repeating the process for 3 other weeks again, you’ll see that your problems have decreased.
