Law of duality: In the universe there are several laws that rule everything that exists, one of them is the law of duality. This law manifests itself in all beings and events, and has been explained in several cultures in different ways, but with the same background.

Law of duality

I suppose, by now, you have already realized that there is a lot of dual duality in this world. Dual means TWO, two in a PAIR. One and another, or ONE or ANOTHER. For example, in this world there are MEN and WOMEN. That is the first apparent duality. Hot and cold, justice and injustice, pleasure and pain, company and loneliness, reward and punishment, love and hate, cute and ugly, rich and poor, healthy and sick, good and bad.

We have accepted that these things exist, they are real.

At least in this world it works that way. And what would you tell me if I tell you that these dualities are real, but not true? Maybe we already talked about this sometime, but there are three levels to discern. DISCERNMENT is a very necessary word in the spiritual path.

Discerning between the real and the illusory is the best way to walk towards the TRUTH.

All things have the same origin from the “non-origin”, and are subject to universal law, from the simplest to the most complex.

By knowing the base we can know how the rest is going to develop, just as we can ask a part to know at all. We can know about our body by asking the hand, the iris of the eye, the feet, the back or any other area.

To talk about Tai Chi is about the origin of things and their subsequent evolution and adaptation to their environment; therefore, animals, plants and even the mineral kingdom are included, since everything is energy and all energy has an evolution.

Ley de la dualidad

And what does duality have that we should transcend?

Let’s talk about an ocean. Imagine the waves which change according to the wind, which are calm today and stormy tomorrow, today they rock you and tomorrow they can kill you. Duality is a form of illusion, a form of this world and its magic.

Sometimes you hear people say: today I am sad for such a thing. One day their reality changes, and suddenly they tell you: now I am happy for such a thing. And so we oscillate, between the poles of opposites as Bhagavad Gita calls them. Today we are good, tomorrow bad. We are like the waves moved by the wind of illusion. What if we descend deeper, if we make this constant change not touch us? How to get there?.
